Recorded Ride A Fish aquarium panel after food adds EXP to a Snapper

How to Feed Fish in Ride A Fish

Buy or obtain fish food, return to your aquarium, and use Feed on the intended fish. A recorded feed adds EXP to one Snapper; food effects and prices should be checked in-game.

How does feeding work?

Get a food item, return to your aquarium and press Feed (Beri Makan) on the fish you intend to raise. In the recorded PC tutorial, Fish Flakes enter the hotbar before the aquarium panel opens. The panel lists individual fish with age, EXP, weight and a coin-per-second display, so check the selected row before using a limited food item.

A tooltip in that panel explains that feeding raises a fish's age and that older fish weigh more and produce more coins per second. This is an in-game explanation, not a measured formula. It does not tell us exactly how much weight or income any food grants to every species.

Where is food sold, and what was demonstrated?

The later recording opens Toko Pakan, the Food Shop. One menu snapshot lists Krill for 18,000 Coins with +25,000 EXP, and Squid Pieces for 100,000 Coins with +125,000 EXP. A Fish Flakes purchase prompt is also visible. These prices and stock amounts were observed once; they are not a maintained live price table.

After the food-shop sequence, the player returns to the aquarium and uses Feed. At about 25:48, a notification says '+25000 EXP to Snapper' and the Snapper row's EXP bar is visible. That establishes one food-to-one-fish result in the footage. It does not establish whether the same item always has that effect after future updates.

Use food where it helps your next decision

Before feeding, note the fish name and current EXP in your own aquarium. Feed the intended row, then compare its post-feed EXP and age with the starting state. If your immediate goal is riding, do not infer that a larger aquarium income or weight will make a fish faster; the available recording has no controlled speed test.

If Feed is unavailable, check that you have a food item, that you are looking at your own aquarium, and that the correct fish panel is open. The recording does not establish a universal inventory limit, automatic feeding, or the effect of every named food. Read the current item label and shop state instead of spending against an outdated screenshot.

QUICK ANSWERS

Feeding questions

Does feeding raise a fish's level or income?

The recorded in-game tooltip says feeding increases age, and older fish weigh more and earn more coins per second. One recorded feed adds 25,000 EXP to a Snapper. A universal conversion formula has not been verified.

Which fish receives the food?

Use Feed on the intended row in your own aquarium and confirm the result notification. The demonstrated notification names Snapper, so it does not prove that food is distributed to every fish.
